Macintosh Data Recovery
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac personal computers hardware are like normal Desktop computer and laptops which are specifically designed, developed, manufactured, and marketed by Apple™ Inc. It only uses MAC operating system (OS) designed and developed by Apple Inc. The original Mac hardware used “Motorola” and “IBM” processors, however recently they have launched their new hardware based on Intel x86 processors.
The Mac OS was originally known as “System Software”, just like Microsoft windows MAC OS comes in different versions. The current version of Mac OS is Mac OS X which has been code named like puma, jaguar, panther, tiger and leopard.
It comes in different designs and is optimized for increased entertainment (Music).
Mac OS X uses HFS and HFS+ (Extended and Journaled) file system, like all other platforms Mac users also face data loss and need Mac data recovery. Just like Microsoft windows MAC also suffer logical corruption but often data loss is due to failure of MAC hard disk drive. Other most common causes for data loss which are supported at Disk Doctor Labs are listed below.
Disk Doctors has a decade of MAC OS and MAC platform experience, in-house specially designed tools and techniques and with highly skilled technicians, we can get your data back no matter what the problem or issue is.
Expert tips!!!
1.Do not do a format

USB Flash Drive Data Recovery
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
USB Flash drives are flash memory data storage devices with a USB connector. These storage devices are very popular due to their being small, lightweight, handy, compact, low cost, rewriteable and removable. They carry several advantages over other portable storage devices; if compared with storage devices like floppy disk, USB Drives are faster, and can store more data, and are considered more dependable than any other storage devices available in market today.
The USB Flash drives come in different shape and size and now can be customize for design and shapes. However, they too fail and data loss happen on these drives as well, the real problem is due to enormous production of these drives, poor manufacturing and lack of quality control issues. Like hard disk drives they also suffer from logical and physical failures.
Expert tips!!!
1.Do not do a format
2.Do not rewrite on USB as it may overwrite your lost data
3.Try to connect USB drive with different computers to see if it makes any difference.
4.Do not dismantle USB drive as it may cause permanent damage.
5.Always seek professional help, call Disk Doctors at 0800 043 6611

RAID Data Recovery
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The word RAID comes from Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks. It’s a technology which allows integrating two or more hard drives for greater performance and reliability of data. Raid has different levels (see below) specifically meant for increased reliability and increased input and output of data.
The RAID levels are implemented by software in the operating system and hardware. The hardware type is most common. Since Raid consists of two or more drives, its failure increases the complexity of data retrieval as compared to a single disk.
Disk Doctor RAID data recovery experts are certified by Adaptec and can recover your data even if all other means of retrieval have failed. We specialize in all available raid arrays regardless of the array size, configuration, operating system, or platform of your Raid Array. RAID Data Recovery is one of the most complex recovery processes that we perform at Disk Doctors routinely. Engineers at Disk Doctors take such RAID jobs as a challenge and will get your data back as much as possible.
Raid Failure Situations:
RAID failure is due to many factors but our experience over a decade shows that most of failures have been aggravated by human error. “Let me try myself” attitude often complicates the recovery of RAID.
Common Raid Failures
1.RAID Controller failure
2.Raid configuration lost
3.Accidental reconfiguration and initialization of RAID array
43Multiple drives failure
5.Raid partition missing
6.Virus Damage
7.Partition was formatted
8.Raid drives have mechanical fault
Expert tips!!!
1.Never reinitialize drives
2.Never change the sequence of the Raid Drives
3.Do not reinstall Operating system
4.Do not create new partitions
5Immediately switch off Raid drives upon hearing unusual sound from the Raid drive
3Label all drives according to their position in Raid Array
7.Always seek professional help Call Disk doctors at 0800 043 6611
Raid Data Recovery Process:
Disk Doctors Lab has recovered thousands of servers over the years. Data Recovery process for Raid starts from an initial FREE evaluation stage. Our engineers treat every RAID recovery as a priority. Once the server or drives reach our lab, our engineers will evaluate them and find out the exact issue with the raid array. In the evaluation process, we will determine whether RAID has logical corruption to the array structure, or the drives in the RAID array have suffered any physical damage. Once the cause of failure is determined our Raid engineer will send you a report along fixed quotation for your approval.
Once approved the recovery begins, in the case of logical corruption, our engineer will make a raw sector by sector image onto Disk Doctors' storage media, and then destripe the array using proprietary tools (software and hardware). This process can be repeated several times to get better result.
In case of physical damage to a drive(s), each drive will be taken to Class 100 Clean Room and fixed, and then raw image will be taken, then destripe process will be done on the whole raid array.
Prices:
As no two data recovery situations are identical, therefore, it is impossible to give a fix price without the initial FREE Evaluation. Generally speaking, for RAID server recovery, price range starts from £199. Emergency services are available 24/7 at premium.
Turn around Time
Disk Doctors will put all its resources to recover your valuable data as fast as possible. As every situation is unique in RAID data recovery, delivery time and recovery cost can not be determined until the server is evaluated. The free evaluation is started as soon as we get the server or drives. Depending upon condition and number of the drives in a raid server; in most of the cases evaluation will be done within 3 to 6 hours of receiving the media. A typical RAID data recovery turn-around time including free evaluation is usually between 3 hours to 48 hours. Some server can take more time.
Rush Service is also available on Raid servers at premium; this means our RAID data recovery engineers will work 24/7 and try their best to finish it as soon as possible; which may be done in as little as 1 to 2 business days.

Hard Disk Data Recovery
Hard Disk Data Recovery
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Generally, the drive failure can be categorized as physical and logical failures but all of them are recoverable.
Logical failure: This is a most common failure in hard drives where file system on the drive is logically damage. Logical damage is primarily caused by
Human error which includes accidental deletion of files, accidentally formatting drive or reinstalling operating system to recover lost data.
Power outages may cause file system structures getting damaged, causing a variety of problems, system crashes, or an actual loss of data.
Virus attack may also corrupt the file system on the drive, resulting in operating system to crash.
Common Symptoms: When a hard drive logically fails you may notice these issues
The computer will fail to start dispalying messages such as “system file missing” etc.
The system does not load operating system and displays a blue screen.
The systems start to load the oerating system but crashes and automaticaly keeps restarting it self.
Our Disk Doctors data recovery labs technicians and engineers are a highly skilled team of trained and experienced in the latest state-of-the-art data recovery techniques with years of successful recoveries experience behind them.
Expert tips!!!
1.Do not do a format or create new partition.
2.Never try to reinstall the operating system as it will overwrite your data.
3.If you are familiar with the symptoms above, why not try our data recovery software If you are not sure then always seek a professional help, call us at 0800 043 6611 and one of customer representative will be there to help you.
Physical failure: Hard drives consist of different components which are bound to fail. This type of failure is more complex and requires special clean room facility. Main causes are
Old aged drives and more extensive use of drives can cause physical failure.
Fluctuation in power supply or connecting wrong power cable to drive.
The drive is accidentally knocked down
Motor jam, Stiction etc.
Smoke seen coming from electronics (PCB).
Firmware corruption.
Natural disasters such as flood, fire etc. and many more.
Common symptoms: you may notice these issues when there is physical failure
The computer fails to boot and the hard drive is now no longer recognized in BIOS.
You may hear strange sound from the drive like ticking or clicking.
The hard drive is completely quite and you don’t get any sound or vibration like a healthy drive.
The BIOS recognizes drive but with incorrect parameters e.g. wrong drive model etc.
Expert tips!!!
1.Switch of the drive immediately when you hear strange sounds from the drive
2.Do no do multiple boots
3.Do not try to shake the drive as it may cause further damage
4.Do not attempt to reconnect the drive with other computers.
5.Do not use DIY data recovery software as they are of no use in physical failure.
6.Always seek Professional help, call Disk Doctors at 0800 043 6611
